Available opportunities:

Gujar lab at Dalhousie University is looking for highly motivated and hard-working individuals with strong training in biochemistry/ immunology/ molecular and cell biology/ mass spectrometry to participate in the following projects involving multidisciplinary skills:

A) Oncolytic virus-based cancer immunotherapies

B) Using mass spectrometry-based approaches (metabolomics and proteomics) to study the role of metabolism in cancer immunology and immunotherapies.

C) Investigate the immunological aspects of photodynamic therapies (PDT).

Techniques employed in our projects include high-throughput cellular assays, flow cytometry, mass spectrometry, bioinformatics, animal work (mice), genomics technologies. Previous experience in PDT and mass spectrometry fields is desired. Strong publication/academic record and training to perform independent research are required for further consideration. Postdoctoral positions:

The ideal candidate should have a strong publication record and be able to independently develop, guide, and complete research projects, assist with the development of grant proposals, and train lab personnel.

Graduate student positions:

The ideal candidate should have a good academic record and training in related fields. Previous publications will be a plus.

Successful candidates will be part of a stimulating and collaborative scientific environment with cutting-edge instrumentation and facilities.
